House: Former Hufflepuff
Year: Born 1948. Graduated in 1966
Appearance: A clean shaven and always neatly-dressed wizard. Edgar has short dark brown hair and blue-green eyes. He is 5 feet 11 inches tall, lean and thinly muscular because of his years playing Quidditch on the Hufflepuff house team.
Personality: Edgar is all about the job, and he's a complete workaholic. Because of this his personal life his shite, having actually had 2 relationships throughout his whole life, one during school and one a year ago at work. Both going to pot rather spectacularly. This isn't to say Edgar isn't a caring person. On the other side he's very pragmatic, almost macheavellian with his work. He'd rather not sacrifice people or use questionable magic, but he can rationalize it if absolutely necessary. He's very sharp, attentive and tactical, aspects of great use to both his job and his association in Dumbledore's Order.
History: Edgar comes from a pureblood family, and he has an older sister, Amelia Susan Bones, who is quickly rising up in the ranks of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement (DMLE). As his family has been consistant Hufflepuff it was no surprise when he was sorted there as well. He scored very well in his NEWTs, having looked after his sister, her poise her strength and her drive, and worked to make a name for himself as well.
Right now he also works in the DMLE, having been fully trained as an Hit Wizard, he acts as a liason for the Aurors, co-ordinating and leading special teams, which often also involves wizards from other Departments. He was in his second year of Auror training when he joined Dumbledore's still very secret organization, the Order of the Phoenix. Edgar's been a little split over what could clearly be seen as an illegal group (though they have so far broken no laws), and what the country need that the Ministry has failed to provide. He's balanced the jobs well enouogh so far, but for now he's thrown his lot with Dumbledore.
